Mission Statement
The mutual ministry of all believers
- Regular celebration of the Lords Supper
- Commitment to extending the Kingdom of God through a passion for sharing of the Good News
- Being a servant church responding to community needs where appropriate and possible
Our Vision is to be:
- Intentional - we intentionally share the Good News of the Gospel as directed by our Saviour Jesus the Great Commission:
Matthew 28:19-20 - Jesus said, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me
To follow Jesus always means a cross. The cross is our symbol of the characteristics of a fully functioning follower of Christ - We envisage new believers coming to faith in Christ and taking the step of obedience to the waters of baptism (Acts 2:42-47)
- We envisage the training of Gods people to confidently share the Gospel with others (Luke 10:2)
- We envisage a church famile with a passionate heart of worship (John 4:23)
- We envisage opportunities to sow into our community through outreach which in turn will help us build relationships so we can share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 25:35-40)
- We picture a church with a missions heart which starts in our own Jerusalem, our community, and extends to missions outreach around the world through giving, going and praying. (Acts 1:8)
- We envisage a church which follows the biblical principle of regular celebration of the Lords Supper (1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
We envisage a family of God that understands and embraces kingdom living and seeks to live this out in all that we do at all times.
